Mike Huckabee’s Iowa fans launch an ‘off the grid’ campaign

Mike Huckabee has said he won't decide until this summer whether he'll mount a second run for the White House.

But as his former top staffers defect to other campaigns, some of the former Arkansas governor's most loyal Iowa supporters have launched an "off the grid" campaign to keep Huckabee viable in 2012.

Per the Des Moines Register's Jennifer Jacobs, the movement is called "Stuck on Huck," and it's aimed at convincing Huckabee's 2008 supporters not to endorse another candidate until the ex-governor decides his 2012 fate.

"We're just saying, 'Don't get caught up with the new girl in town, stay true to the girl you've been engaged to for two years,' " Dave Davidson, a Huckabee supporter from Des Moines, tells the paper.

The organizing effort--which includes a Facebook page and an online radio show--comes amid word that Huckabee has been talking to donors and activists about a potential bid for the GOP nomination next year.
