Monday in politics: Romney in Colorado, Ryan in Ohio, Obama in N.Y., and more

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are focusing on two battleground states Monday — Colorado (nine Electoral Votes) and Ohio (18 Electoral Votes).

Romney has a "Victory Rally" in Pueblo, Colo., and Ryan visits Lima, Ohio, on the first day of a three-day "Romney Plan For A Stronger Middle Class" bus tour across the Buckeye State. On Tuesday, Ryan has a stop in Cincinnati and then Romney travels to Dayton. Romney wraps up the tour on Wednesday with stops in Columbus, Cleveland and Toledo.

President Barack Obama travels to New York on Monday afternoon for the United Nations General Assembly where he will speak on Tuesday. He and first lady Michelle Obama will attend a reception for visiting Heads of State and Government at the Waldorf Astoria in the evening.

Also worth noting on Monday: South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley campaigns for Romney in Virginia.

And then there is this: Before President Obama and the first lady attend the reception at the Waldorf Astoria, they will tape an appearance on ABC's "The View" that will air Tuesday.
