The person who called in the incident "reported hearing glass breaking and noticed that windows were broken," LAPD spokeswoman Sara Faden told the Los Angeles Times.
The incident was reported at 7:25 p.m. PDT at an office in the 6700 block of South Centinela Avenue, the Times reports. Police indicated that one of the vandals threw an object to break a window.
Officials have not released any information regarding suspects, motive or whether the incident was caught on surveillance cameras. No one was at the office when the vandals struck, police said, and no injuries were reported. But the incident still has authorities on alert.
"This does raise some concern ahead of the president's visit next week. I'm sure," LAPD media relations officer Gregory Baek told ABC News.
The president is scheduled to make a Western campaign swing early next week that will bring him through Los Angeles for fundraisers.
