Obama campaign Tumblr: ‘Meet Paul Ryan, who is actually the worst’

President Barack Obama may have been relatively civil in his first public comments about Mitt Romney's vice presidential running mate, Paul Ryan, but on his campaign's official Tumblr account, the gloves appear to be off.

"In case you missed all the excitement this weekend: Meet Paul Ryan, who is actually the worst," a note on the Obama for America Tumblr reads. "

The note is posted below a graphic that shows how the Obama campaign characterizes Ryan's stance on some key issues.

"Marriage Equality: Unconstitutional," a dialogue bubble above Ryan's head reads. "Women's Rights: Don't need these. The Middle Class: Not rich? Then too bad."

The image links to a section of Barack Obama's campaign website on Romney and Ryan, who they've nicknamed "The Go Back Team." The Tumblr post has been shared, liked or reblogged more than 1,300 times.

At a fundraiser in Chicago on Sunday, Obama called Ryan "the ideological leader of the Republicans in Congress."

"Congressman Ryan is a decent man," Obama said. "He is a family man. He's an articulate spokesman for Gov. Romney's vision. But it's a vision that I fundamentally disagree with."

Obama, of course, does not update the Tumblr himself. As is the case with his other official social media accounts, all posts from the commander in chief are signed "--b.o."

In an interview broadcast on Sunday's "60 Minutes," Ryan slammed what he called the president's lack of leadership.

"President Obama is picking winners and losers based on connections, based on fads like Solyndra and basically giving handouts to businesses, giving preference to tax code," Ryan said. "We want to get Washington out of the business of picking winners and losers. We want entrepreneurs to have the barriers removed from in front of them, so that people can work hard and succeed."
