The testy exchanges between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan continued as moderator Martha Raddatz asked the two men what would be worse, another war in the Middle East or a nuclear armed Iran?
"A nuclear armed Iran that leads to a catastrophic nuclear arms race in the Middle East," Ryan said.
Biden continued to scoff and shake his head while Ryan answered, once again interjecting with, "This is a bunch of malarkey." When it was his turn to respond, Biden took the opposite path as Ryan, saying, "War should always be the last resort."
However, before that, Biden said it is administration policy to stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. "We will not allow the Iranians to get a nuclear weapon," Biden insisted. "Unlike when we took office, if we take action, we will have the world behind us. And that matters."
