What to watch for Wednesday in politics: Romney in Ohio, Santorum in Tennessee, Gingrich in Georgia

There's no time to take a breath in the race for the GOP nomination. The Michigan and Arizona primaries are over, Mitt Romney won (barely in Michigan), and now the focus shifts to next Tuesday — Super Tuesday.

Romney will be in Ohio for a rally in Toledo at 10 a.m. EST and a town hall in Bexley at 2:45 p.m. EST, and Rick Santorum will be in Tennessee for "Rally for Rick" events in Powell at 12 p.m. EST and in Nashville at 8 p.m. EST. He also has four radio interviews lined up.

As for Newt Gingrich, he'll be spending another day in his home state of Georgia. There are a rallies in Covington at 1:30 p.m. EST and Gainesville at 7 p.m. EST, and he, too, has four radio interviews planned.

Ron Paul had nothing listed for Wednesday on his campaign web site calendar.

And then there is this: Over at the White House, President Obama and Vice President Biden will have lunch at noon with congressional leaders. The topic: Finding common ground on legislation to create jobs and strengthen the economy. The issue: Common ground has been hard to find.
