Mitt Romney will spend another day Wednesday in Ohio. He'll be joined by his son Josh at an evening event, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will be with him at two midday events.
President Barack Obama spent Tuesday in Ohio, but has no campaign events on his Wednesday calendar.
A poll released on Tuesday shows Obama and Romney statistically tied in the Buckeye State.
While Romney is in Ohio, Ann Romney will be in New York at the "Good Morning America" anchor desk with George Stephanopoulos. She is filling in for co-anchor Robin Roberts, who is on extended medical leave.
Also worth noting Wednesday in presidential politics: Michelle Obama campaigns in Colorado, and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell campaign in Virginia for Romney.
In one of the most-watched Senate races in 2012, Republican Sen. Scott Brown and Democrat Elizabeth Warren will square off Wednesday evening for their third televised debate. At stake: the seat once held by Edward Kennedy.
On Capitol Hill, the House Oversight Committee will hold a hearing on "security failures" in last month's attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Witnesses include Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Programs Charlene Lamb and State Department Regional Security Officer Eric Nordstrom. The attack led to the death of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three of his colleagues.
Over at the Supreme Court building, justices will hear arguments Wednesday in a case involving the University of Texas at Austin's use of race in undergraduate admissions decisions.
And then there is this: Vice President Joe Biden wraps up five days at home in Wilmington, Del., where he reportedly has been preparing for the debate with Paul Ryan. Ryan, meanwhile, is scheduled to arrive in Kentucky for the debate. The showdown is 9 p.m. EDT Thursday at Centre College in Danville, Ky.
