Massachusetts man making money by shipping snow from Boston to your door!

Meet Kyle Waring, a Massachusetts man who’s behind ShipSnowYo.com — that’s right, someone is making money by shipping the white stuff out of Boston to your door.

For a mere 89 bucks, marked down from $99, you could have 6 pounds of Boston’s historic snowfall shipped to your friends, family and even enemies. Waring promises that the 6-pound snow package is enough for 10 to 15 snowballs.

The snow-shipping business started as joke between Waring and his wife while they were shoveling their yard, but soon after, ShipSnowYo.com was born.

Originally Waring just shipped 16.9-ounce water bottles filled with snow, but he is expanding his business: In addition to the 6-pound product, he will soon be launching a 10-pound product, for $119.

If you are wondering how snow gets shipped long distances before turning to water, you aren’t alone. ShipSnowYo.com does its best to ensure that the snow packs won’t melt before reaching their destinations by shipping them overnight in insulated containers.

Waring does warn on his website that minimal melting may occur and includes a courtesy “before” picture of the snow with orders.

We reached out to Waring for a comment, but judging by a tweet that reads, “having a hard time keeping up with these interview requests... please be patient I'm in SF until friday and am booked solid through weekend," we’re sure that he’s super-busy.

A successful snow-shipping business is more proof that people really will pay for anything.
