Son releases touching video to help find a boyfriend for his mom

If you were looking to set up one of your parents on a date, where would you go? Online, perhaps?

One man in Norway is on the ultimate dating mission for his mother — and he has been keeping it a secret for a year. Alex Lyngaas released a video on YouTube in hopes of finding love for his mom, Eva, who was born in 1946. In the video, he says, “My mother is single and she deserves a good man.” He goes on to explain that his mom has been dating for the last couple of years, but nothing has worked out.  

Eva is a great catch — and as her son depicts in the video, she has a list of hobbies and interests that he hopes will match her with an ideal candidate. They include tennis, swimming, skiing, and cross-country skiing, to name a few.

At the end of the video, we get to watch Eva’s reaction to her son’s efforts to find her a boyfriend. She says, “My gosh, Alex. What do you want to do with this?” He tells her his plan to put the video on YouTube, and she looks astonished. He seems to have won her over, as it has been viewed more than 375,000 times so far.
