Woman chronicles relationship with a JanSport backpack. Yes, really.

Do you have a personal item like a jacket or handbag that you love? How about one that you’re in love with? Well, one woman on Instagram is chronicling her love affair with, of all things, a pink JanSport backpack. Genevieve Blau from New York has been documenting her relationship on the social media app for about a month. It all started with one photo with the caption: “Guys, my JanSport and I have been friends for 10 years now. We finally decided it was time to take things to the next level. It’s our first official date!!”

Using the hashtag #JansportDate, Genevieve and her pink bag have had some pretty romantic dates. Taking in a show, having some margaritas, watching a hockey game, even a stroll in the park.

Of course, the photos are all in good fun. Genevieve said she got the idea when dining alone in a fancy Italian restaurant, just her and the backpack.
