Baby claps hands in incredible ultrasound video

A video of an ultrasound is going viral, and you have to see it to believe it. Jen Cardinal, from Olympia, Wash., uploaded a clip to YouTube from her baby’s 14-week prenatal checkup.  In it, you see the baby clapping his or her little hands as the mom and dad sing  “If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands.”

The video has racked up a whopping 4 million views so far. It was actually Jen’s doctor’s idea to film the incredible clapping baby’s ultrasound performance. And for any naysayers out there who think the video is a fake, Jen had this to say, “The experience is one I'll never forget. The baby clapped three times, then the doctor rewound and scrubbed it while we sang. No mystery. It was amazing. Trolls won't get me down!”

We spoke with Jen and asked her if the baby comes from a long line of music enthusiasts. She told us her family was “very musical growing up.”

She and her husband used the video on Facebook to announce their pregnancy to family and friends. She said, “We had been trying for three years to get pregnant. We went from not thinking we would get pregnant to having the most fun and surprising pregnancy.”
