Blind autistic teen wows crowd with rendition of national anthem

Christopher Duffley, 14, stole the show yesterday evening before a Boston Red Sox game.

The teenager, who is blind and autistic, was invited to sing the national anthem at Fenway Park and blew away the crowd.

Duffley, from Manchester, N.H., was born prematurely, weighing only 1 pound 12 ounces, and was rendered blind because of retinopathy of prematurity.

Monday marked Duffley’s third time singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Fenway. After he finished, fans and players gave him a huge ovation.
