WATCH: Crocodile uses its tail to launch itself out of the water

Just in case you didn’t have enough reasons to fear crocodiles, here is a new one.

National Geographic photographer Trevor Frost posted a video on Instagram of a croc pushing itself out of the water by its tail to grab the meat dangling above it.

“Crocodiles have incredibly strong tails,” Frost explains in the Instagram caption.  “Their tails propel them in the water like torpedoes from a submarine. In fact, as you see here, their tails are so strong that they can propel their entire body out of the water.”

We’re definitely impressed by crocodiles, if not more terrified of ever crossing paths with one.
