First responders clear snow off roof of man who they tried to save

On Tuesday, first responders tried to save the life of a man in Manchester, Connecticut. Miroslaw Dobrowski, 57, suffered a heart attack while shoveling snow off his roof.

Unfortunately the teams weren’t able to save Dobrowski; he died later at the hospital. But the story doesn’t end there. Later in the day, members of the emergency medical service, fire and police departments showed up to finish the job Dobrowski started. The team removed the snow from Dobrowski’s roof as well as the rest of his home.

Ryan Bilodeau from the Manchester Fire Department said, “That’s why I got into this field in the first place. None of us do it for the money.” He added, “It’s all about serving people in the best capacity that we can, and I really love doing this job.”
