You remember how the old advertisement went right? “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!” Well, a street vendor that serves the treat in Turkey has customers up in arms for the frozen dessert. But if the people want to cool down with their favorite flavor, they’ll have to do more than simply pay him.
In a minute long video posted to YouTube, a man in Istanbul scoops ice cream on to a cone for a regular customer. But instead of simply handing the cone over, the vendor uses a combination of multiple cones, his utensil, and napkins to play tricks with the patron. First he places the cone in the guy’s jeans and then quickly removes the ice cream that was attached. What follows is a scene you would expect to play out on “The Three Stooges” or “The Honeymooners.” The vendor twirls the ice cream cone around the customer’s head, in and out of his hand, and even uses the cone for a kiss on his cheek.
The tricks are impressive, but equally impressive is the patron’s patience. He must not have been dying for the ice cream, although after that debacle, I doubt I would be interested in eating any of it anyways.
