Inventive Bar Uses Stock Market Approach to Price Drinks

The up-and-down movement of the stock market is enough to make even a seasoned trader a bit crazy. One minute you're on top of the world making the big bucks. The next minute your fortune is gone. But if you apply the ideas of stock trading to running a bar, things can get pretty interesting. That is the premise behind Exchange Bar and Grill in New York City.

Every night, the price of drinks mimics the stock market, moving up or down based on supply and demand. There are even market crashes when certain items hit rock bottom. The bar soared in popularity last week when Reddit users voted it to the front page for its unorthodox pricing scheme.

Steven Yee, operating partner, and Justin McCarthy, who is known as the 'man of the bar,' joined Trending Now via Skype to talk about the concept behind their bar and grill.
