Male dancer steals the show at Miami Heat dance team auditions

A few weeks ago, the Miami Heat held open auditions for its dance squad. Dozens of hopeful women turned out, but it was one very talented guy who stole the show.

Keith Wilson’s audition video is going viral, and it’s not hard to see why.

During the freestyle round, Beyoncé’s “Run the World (Girls)” started to play, and Wilson told BuzzFeed that he knew he’d kill it.

“It was very simple and easy for me to catch the beat, catch the move, and just milk it for what it was,” he said.

Wilson made it to the third round of tryouts, but not the final cut. He believes this is because of his gender.

This wasn’t the first time the 28-year-old dance teacher had shown up for the Heat open calls; he auditioned for the first time in 2012.

Still, Wilson hopes that one day he’ll be able to join the dance squad on the court.

He told Local 10, “The Heat is actually one of those organizations that’s open to anything, so I’m pretty sure one day it will happen.”

Until then, we’ll have to be content with watching Wilson’s audition video on repeat.
