Man Films Music Video While Spending a Night Alone in Vegas Airport

Richard Dunn voluntarily bumped himself off two Delta flights leaving Las Vegas and spent the night at McCarran International Airport.

The Georgia native who is originally from Canada didn't have enough time to hit a blackjack table or grab a hotel room before his new 6 a.m. departure. So instead he stayed in the terminal and paid tribute to a famous Canadian singer who is no stranger herself to Vegas.

Dunn filmed a music video in which he lip-syncs to Celine Dion's cover of "All By Myself." Dion, who was born in Quebec, is currently headlining her second residency at Caesars Palace. Dunn uploaded the piece to Vimeo on Sunday. It has since been viewed over 4.4 million times.

"I was supposed to go out at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and (Delta) was offering vouchers. They were offering $400," Dunn explained in an interview with CBC Radio. "I thought, 'Oh that's not bad. I'll hang around until 11 p.m. and get bumped."

The airline, which Dunn has been using for 18 years, then offered him another voucher if he moved to the 6 a.m. flight.

"Then I got to thinking, 'I could have some fun if I was here overnight,'" he told the New Brunswick radio station.

Despite filming it all by himself, the five-minute masterpiece includes all types of shots that both zoom and pan. Simply calling the process "creative" might not do Dunn's work justice.

"I had a person behind a ticket counter give me a roll of luggage tape before she left," he explained on the Vimeo page. "I then used a wheelchair that had a tall pole on the back of it and taped my iPhone to that. Then I would put it on the moving walkway for a dolly shot."

Dunn also used the extended handle on his computer bag to film certain scenes, placing the bag on an escalator and stacking it on top of objects to get the right angle. He edited the production in Final Cut Pro.

"I had no idea it would turn into this," he commented. "Absolutely crazy."

Not to mention, he scored $800 in free travel for his troubles.
