Mom parodies ‘Uptown Funk’ with ‘Suburban Funk'

It’s safe to say that Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s hit “Uptown Funk” is to 2015 what Pharrell’s “Happy” was to 2014. You can’t get it out of you head, and countless parodies are popping up all over the Web. And this might be one of our favorites. It comes from California mom of two Deva Dalporto, who put a suburban spin on the catchy tune. The video stars Dalporto and fellow residents of a California suburb, who can be seen making everyday routine tasks looks fabulous. They are taking out the trash, buying in bulk, and cruising the town in a minivan. Some of the fun lyrics include “gardening, grilling, living it up outside the city.”

The video was posted to Dalporto’s super-popular YouTube page, My Life Suckers. And with more than 600,000 views so far, it’s obvious a lot of moms and dads can relate to the “Suburban Funk”! One commenter wrote, “I like this better than the original.”
