Trump’s Pizza Habits, an Old-School Punishment Goes Digital, and the Most Misspelled Words on Yahoo! Search

We told you about Weinergate (the controversy about lewd photos potentially tweeted by New York Rep. Anthony Weiner), and of course you know about Watergate. Now, there's Pizzagate: the hoopla over how Donald Trump ate pizza with Sarah Palin. The real estate mogul has gotten a lot of heat for using a knife and fork to eat New York's finest dish. "Daily Show" host and fellow New Yorker Jon Stewart dedicated seven minutes of his show to slamming Trump for his pizza-eating style. The "Daily Show" clip has been shared on Facebook more than 52,000 times. Trump shot back in a YouTube video, where he said, "Frankly, it was very comfortable," and explained that eating pizza with a fork and knife allows him to cut the crust off. "I like not to eat the crust, so that we can keep the weight down," he said. It seems New Yorkers take their pizza very seriously (perhaps too seriously).

Did your elementary school teacher ever make you write something 100 times on the chalkboard as punishment? Well it still happens, even in social media. After a Malaysian man sent a tweet accusing Blu Inc, an Asian magazine company, of discriminating against his pregnant friend, Fahmi Fadzil was ordered by a court settlement with the company to tweet an apology 100 times. Yesterday he started tweeting, "I've DEFAMED Blu Inc Media & Female Magazine. My tweets on their HR Policies are untrue. I retract those words & hereby apologize." By carrying out his sentence, Fadzil gained thousands of followers on Twitter, including famous hip-hop star Questlove.

"Cymotrichous, C-Y-M-O-T-R-I-C-H-O-U-S, Cymotrichous." That correct spelling won 14-year-old Sukanya Roy the top prize at last night's Scripps National Spelling Bee. In case you were wondering, "cymotrichous" means having wavy hair. The recent spelling bee fever made us wonder what words people most often misspell on Yahoo! Search. The results are pretty funny. After the death of Osama Bin Laden, searches spiked for "72 virginians" for the virgins some believe bin Laden would meet in heaven. Many "Charlie's Angels" fans search for "Farrah Faucet," confusing Farrah Fawcett's last name with the item hanging over your kitchen sink. And of course it's no surprise that Justin Bieber is a top trending term on Yahoo! Search. What is surprising is that he may have an evil twin named "Justin Beaver," who keeps getting looked up on Yahoo! Search.
