Turn Yourself Into Your Very Own Gif with The Bosco

The Trending Now team got to step outside our gorgeous studio near Bryant Park in New York City and travel all the way to the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. We spent the day with team members of the new-age photo-booth company the Bosco.

This place is hands-down the most fun place to work that I have ever visited, and I did not want to leave. They even have an office dog named Loretta who was rescued from a kill-shelter. She has to be the most well-mannered pooch I've ever met. Not that she tried to convince me, but I am now confident that every office with its very own Loretta is a better place to work.

A couple of years ago, Aaron Fisher-Cohen and Nick Fehr had an idea to expand the idea of the common photo booth and add movement and the ability to turn a photo booth into a video confessional. They began by doing their research. The first photo booth ever known was created in 1889, and Fisher-Cohen and Fehr were bent on creating one for the social media obsessed generation.

The Bosco officially launched in February 2012, and it has skyrocketed to popularity since, turning up at worldwide events, swanky parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs, you name it. A number of celebrities are fans, including Martha Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, R. Kelly and Pauly Shore.

What makes what the Bosco does so cutting-edge? The GIFs they produce are instantly shareable via social media on an iPad that is connected to the booth. So you're not just walking away with a tangible photo in your hand, you're sharing your unique experience with the world.

The employees of the Bosco are both artists, developers and engineers, and you can tell that they love what they do. They don't just get the party started, they are the party.

So what's next for the Bosco team? Well, with offices in Los Angeles and New York, they've got both coasts covered. Everyone wants to know if the Bosco is going to go the App Store route and bring the experience to a mobile device near you. No definite answers yet from Fisher-Cohen and Fehr. So we're all just going to have to wait and see.
