Searching for Judgment Day, Another Zuckerberg, and Princess Beatrice’s Hat Lives On

Trending Now

We've seen a 200 percent jump in searches on Yahoo! for "May 21st." Searches are also spiking for "the rapture," "end of the world," and "Harold Camping." What do these have in common? Camping, an 89-year-old radio host and Christian fundamentalist, says judgment day is less than two weeks away. Camping said he pinned down May 21 as doomsday using clues and prophesies he found in the Bible. "It is absolutely going to happen without any question at all," Camping said in an interview. But if you look at his track record, you may not be so convinced. Camping previously predicted judgment day would be in September 1994.

Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg is having trouble getting a Facebook account. Before you jump to conclusions, Facebook is not ousting its chief executive. Mark S. Zuckerberg, an Indianapolis attorney, says he had to jump through hoops just to be able to open a Facebook profile. Then he says Facebook took it down because the company thought it was fake. The frustrated attorney created the site iammarkzuckerberg.com to tell the world about how he has lost his identity to his famous namesake.

The hat heard 'round the world is back in action. The beige hat that Princess Beatrice donned to her cousin's royal wedding is headed to the auction block. The Philip Treacy headpiece will be sold on eBay to raise money for UNICEF and Children in Crisis. Photoshopped versions of the hat are all over the Internet, and there's even a Tumblr blog dedicated to spoofs on the fashion piece.
