Wife’s Elaborate Birthday Gift to Husband Makes Him the Star of His Favorite TV Shows

When it comes to elaborate gifts, this couple may take the cake. Leigh Lahav and her husband, Oren Mendezitsky, are creative types to the nth power. Lahav is a graphic artist, and what better way to show Mendezitsky that she loves him than using her unique talents to create a one-of-a-kind gift.

Lahav re-created the opening credits of some of her husband's favorite television shows: "Mad Men," "Arrested Development," "30 Rock," "Frasier," "The Office," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "New Girl," "Community," and "2 Broke Girls." While she used the original setups, music, and even animations for the re-creation, she inserted her husband's name in strategic places.

Lahav posted the birthday tribute titled, "TV Bday PALOOZA" to YouTube, and it has been viewed more than 450,000 times so far. People are praising her creativity and attention to detail. One person commented, "This is the most adorable thing ever. I wish I was this creative!"

Lahav said that she made the out-of-this-world gift for her husband in an attempt to outdo him. On her last birthday, he gave her a personalized comic book, illustrated by her friends. Lahav did most of the editing and animation for his present herself, and a few filmmakers helped her with the finishing touches. She chose the shows based on how much he enjoyed them, as well as by their degree of difficulty.

Hey, a little healthy birthday-gift competition can't hurt. In fact, this couple shows that it can be downright inspirational.
