'Downton Abbey': Go Behind the Scenes of Mrs. Patmore's London Kitchen [Video]
It's always a grand occasion when the members of the Crawley clan pack up and head to London — and naturally they have to bring their entire staff with them. The action will move to London later this season, and that means Mrs. Patmore and all of the downstairs crew will once again need to settle into their big city surroundings. In the Downton Abbey Season 5 DVD (out Jan. 27), fans will get a tour of the London kitchen from Daisy, Mrs. Hughes, and Mrs. Patmore themselves (or Sophie McShera, Phyllis Logan, and Lesley Nicol, if you insist on using their "real" names).

"It's sort of like a mixture of bits from the other house made into a new set," explains McShera, whose accent remains adorable even when she's not playing Daisy. The Downton production team does, in fact, recycle "bits" from the main house set — a fact Nicol uses to quiz her co-star Logan in the clip below. Before you click, spoiler alert: The featurette also includes bonus footage of an emotional conversation between Daisy and Mrs. Patmore hinging on a plot point that hasn't yet aired in the U.S. ("It's horrid," says McShera of shooting the intense scene.)
Downton Abbey Season 5 will be available on Blu-Ray and DVD Tuesday, Jan. 27.
