Daughter uses Mika Brzezinski’s Twitter account to meet Bieber

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski surprised her 20,000-plus Twitter followers one day with an unusual public request: "Can anyone help my daughter meet Justin Bieber?"

It looked like Brzezinski , co-host of "Morning Joe," was using her celebrity status — and large social network — to score some face time between the teen heartthrob and her 12-year-old daughter, Carlie.

NBC White House correspondent Savannah Guthrie, one of her many followers, even retweeted the request, according to TVNewser.

But in the September issue of Ladies' Home Journal, Brzezinski says Carlie hijacked the Twitter account to try to reach Bieber.

In Brzezinski's essay "Internet Intervention," on monitoring kids' online activities, she writes of being "mortified" by the experience.

Since the online episode, Carlie has met Bieber. Naturally, Brzezinski tweeted the news.

"My daughter's Bieber fever has broken," she wrote. "They have finally met."
