Possible hung jury in Blagojevich trial

The jury in the federal corruption trial of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is deadlocked on some counts, the Chicago Tribune is reporting. U.S. District Judge James Zagel read a note from the jury in court this afternoon indicating that after "a reasonable attempt" at deliberating "without rancor" for 11 days, jurors can't come to a unanimous decision on all the counts lodged against Blagojevich. The note asked Zagel what the "next logical step" is if the jury can't agree on every charge, and asked if jurors can go home for the day. Zagel told the courtroom that he needed more information from the jury before advising them on the next move.
