    Snake in a cash machine

We all know the so-bad-it's-good 2006 action film "Snakes on a Plane." But the Samuel Jackson vehicle now appears to have a real-world sequel: A Spanish video that shows a man innocently attempting to take out cash out of an ATM, only to discover a snake slithering out of the cash-dispensing slot along with the money.

The ATM's security camera captured the wayward snake; before long, the footage turned up on the blog BoingBoing, and quickly went viral on the Web. The short shows the snake--which got stuck in the ATM slot as it was poised to exit its nest of cash---peering out of the machine. Someone tries to poke it with a stick--an overture that the already stressed-out reptile did not take kindly. The snake, which looks to be at least a foot long, lashes out at the stick with its tongue.

But in this animal tale, all ends well: The Caja Madrid bank customer got his money, and the snake was freed by police, who took it in a box to an animal shelter.

Music was pretty cool too. Anyone know what sort of snake that was? Image was too small for me to tell. And no comedic responses, I mean seriously, what kind?

Oh man, the symbolism of this is so obvious. Snakes and banks. LMAO.

There’s just no length Bank of America is not willing to pursue in order to hold on to your money! Absolutely Disgusting!!! First it was the phony mortgages, then the ATM card fees, now this!!! Gentlemen have you no shame????
    • David  •  Tampa, United States  •  6 mths ago
It was a Bank of America (B.O.A) therefore it was a "boa" constrictor.

I knew there'd be some backlash over banks reducing some of their fees, but.........

I guess this gives new meaning to the phrase "Substantial penalty for early withdrawal." :-D
    • Ferd'nand  •  6 mths ago
It would be ironic if it was from Bank of America. It would have to have been a BOA from BoA.

Spanish banks fight dirty in defense of atm fees-----take bite out of customers
    • V  •  6 mths ago
How appropriate--a snake in a bank. Rare? No! Most of the bankers I've known were hired for their reptilian tendencies--how else would they be cold blooded enough to foreclose on so many family farms and homes?
