When the former head of the International Monetary Fund lists his house for significantly more than he and his wife paid for it a few years ago, surely that is a sign the housing market is taking a turn for the better. Dominique Strauss-Kahn's three-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom Georgetown house has a swimming pool, tennis courts and now an illustrious history to go with it.
The house was built in 1900 and is 7,200 square feet. It is in Strauss-Kahn's wife's name (Anne Sinclair), and they have listed their house at 2613 Dumbarton Street for $5.2 million, which is way more than they paid for it in 2007 ($4 million, if you're keeping track).
