This weekend's highlight reel was a treat for Washington area sports fans.

On Thursday, Zack Hample caught not one, not two, but three foul balls at the Orioles-Mariners game at Camden Yards. A former teammate says Hample has caught almost 5,000 baseballs at major league parks in the past 20 years.

Friday's Nationals-Marlins game at Nats Park saw a pair of acrobatic plays: one a boost for the home team; the other, not so much.

With two runners on and two outs, Roger Bernadina made a spectacular catch on a Mike Stanton hit to deep center.

Unfortunately, the effort wasn't enough to carry the team to victory, as Omar Infante was safe on a ridiculous 11th-inning slide and the Nats lost, 6-5.

Saturday saw a better outcome for another Nationals club. Michael Aubrey hit four home runs for the Nats' Triple-A club, the Syracuse Chiefs, in an 11-0 walloping of the Durham Bulls. For context, Aubrey had a total of four home runs in his last season in the majors. Watch the highlights.

And on Sunday, Maryland's men's lacrosse team pulled out the old hidden ball trick in an NCAA tournament game against UNC:
