The BMW 7 Series M760i xDrive has been revealed ahead of its official debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. As the rather lengthy name suggests, it is a high-performance model and sits on top of the BMW food chain.

The M in the name means it gets an aggressive style package in the form of modified bumpers, trunk mounted spoiler, massive M-spec alloy wheels shot with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, grey accents and a sports exhaust. The cabin is all standard next generation 7 Series but now includes stainless steel pedals, a three-spoke steering wheel and driver focussed dashboard layout.

The M(adness) in the M760i comes courtesy of a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 that produces 600bhp and a mammoth 800Nm of torque. All power is channelled through an eight-speed ZF AT and BMW’s famed xDrive AWD system. This results in a 0-100kmph time of 3.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.

To keep the car in check, BMW has retuned the air suspension and fitted the car with road preview system and integral active steering which slightly turns the rear wheels for improved handling. No prices have been announced but it is pretty obvious that this car will not be easy on the wallet given its high-class and high-performance pedigree. As for India, expect a debut around this time next year.
