RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — A boat carrying more than 100 passengers has sunk in a lake in Brazil's capital. Rescue workers say a baby is dead and seven people are missing.

Major Adriano Azevedo of the fire department tells Globo TV that private boats have joined in the search for the missing passengers, who include a 10-year-old girl.

Azevedo says 93 people were rescued or swam to safety after the boat sank during a party on Sunday. He says some of the missing also may have reached shore.
