Bobbi Kristina Brown's Autopsy Reveals She Was Covered in Bruises and Scars as Bobby Brown Responds to Medical Examiner's Report

Bobbi Kristina Brown's body showed signs of acute injury at the time of her autopsy, a report released by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office revealed Friday.

The document notes depressions in her skull and bruises – referred to as "ecchymosis," a medical term for the bluish discoloration of skin – on her arms and thighs, in addition to dozens of "well-healed scars on the head and neck, torso, and extremities."

At 95 pounds, Brown was considered "under-nourished," according to the report.

Brown's cause of death was undetermined because the "circumstances under which Ms. Brown entered the bathtub are unknown. Whether her death was due to intentional or accidental causes are unknown," the medical examiner said.

As PEOPLE reported early Friday, marijuana, alcohol, "a cocaine-related substance," sedative and anti-anxiety medications and morphine were found in her system, according to a toxicology report. However, the medical examiner's office in Atlanta said the test could not indicate whether the morphine was the result of heroin use.

In a statement provided to PEOPLE Friday morning, her father Bobby Brown, 47, responded to the news.

"First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born," said the singer, noting the missed milestone. "Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl."

He continued: "For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter's autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family."

His attorney Christopher Brown also commented, saying, "Yesterday we were informed that two news affiliates were granted access to the autopsy of Bobbi Kristina Brown. While this action is unsettling, we will continue in our efforts in the civil lawsuit and the criminal investigation."

The attorney continued: "Bobby Brown has had to be strong and mourn his loved ones in a fashion that is foreign to most people. So public, so raw, with apparently no end in sight. Hopefully public indictments and prosecution will lead to private healing and closure for Bobby Brown and his family."

His daughter's boyfriend Nick Gordon, 20 – who was raised as Houston's son, but never officially adopted – is in the midst of a legal battle with Brown's family. A filing in a wrongful death lawsuit alleges Brown "died due to a violent altercation with Defendant (Gordon)" and that he "injected her with a toxic mixture" - claims that Gordon's lawyers have denied. In a statement to PEOPLE last month, Gordon's legal counsel said he continued to "grieve privately" and was "dehumanized by the fictitious allegations."
