Body found in Gwynns Falls in Southwest Baltimore, police say

A body was pulled from the Gwynns Falls in Southwest Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon, Baltimore Police said.

Police officers responded at 3:19 p.m. to a call from a passenger on a MARC train reporting they saw a body in the water, department spokesman Detective Donny Moses said. The Baltimore City Fire Department worked with police to retrieve the man, who was in the water just off the 900 block of Brunswick St.

Moses said officials won’t know the cause of death until an autopsy is performed, but there were no signs of trauma. Officials identified the individual as male, but didn’t immediately have other details.
