Body found in southeast Springfield believed to be missing 71-year-old man

Springfield police announced Tuesday a body found in southeast Springfield this week is believed to be 71-year-old Anatoli Dvorschi, who went missing Sept. 25.

The Springfield Police Department's news release says the body was discovered Monday evening in the 3900 block of South Lone Pine Avenue, and forensic tests would be needed to verify it was Dvorschi.

Dvorschi had dementia, and Springfield police made numerous appeals to the public asking for help locating him after he went missing in the area near Sequiota Park.
