Author William D. Mayo invites readers to discover the liberating power of authentic people-centered leadership
MORTON, Ill. (PRWEB) January 26, 2012
During Mayo’s 35+ year career in both the military and corporate America, he has heard many employees confide that they feel over-managed and under-led, along with many managers admitting that the people-side of leading a business is their biggest challenge. Mayo suggests that the soft side of business leadership need not be the most difficult or uncomfortable part of a manager’s job. Why Is The Soft Side The Hardest Part? offers practical guidance that helps to demystify the challenges of leading authentically. It reveals how leading with an authentic heart can unleash the power of people and teams to achieve outstanding results and feel more engaged, voluntarily providing their best discretionary effort.
Practical and entertaining, Why Is The Soft Side The Hardest Part? is relevant to today’s quest for high employee engagement without sacrificing goal achievement. Deeply rooted in experience and not in theory alone, it is a philosophical reflection on the critical considerations of people-centered leadership versus managerial control.
