What Brangelina's Celebrity Wine Says About Them

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have joined the likes of Bethenny Frankel and Ramona Singer — they're going to put their name on wine now. Mind you, the stuff is already growing on the schmancy chateau they own in Correns, France, but this thing is going to be big: "If you knew Brad and Angelina, you would see they are in search of perfection in everything," their new partners at the vineyard tell Bloomberg. Per Decanter.com the Jolie-Pitts have teamed up with the Perrin family, who own another chateau and will be "responsible for both the winemaking and distribution of the Jolie-Pitts' Château Miraval in Correns." The label will have the names "Jolie-Pitt and Perrin."

It's pretty safe to assume that the "Jolie-Pitts" aren't doing this so much in an effort to get their names out there — like some real housewives of the real world — so much as they're going for the whole prestige project thing, not unlike Francis Ford Coppola's wine ventures. Except they're doing this thing in France, because they're extra-fancy.

Pitt told Bloomberg (through his publicist, because Brad Pitt does not talk to plebians): "We are intimately involved and quite enthused over the wine project with our friends the Perrin family."

A white and several reds are on the way, but a rosé will be out in March. Per Bloomberg it will have "intensely floral, wild lily aromas and brighter flavor notes of strawberry and raspberry" because of stainless steel tanks. Which is probably what Brad Pitt's hair smells like.
