    BREAKING: Gunman Opens Fire at Sikh Temple in Wisconsin

    A gunman has opened fire inside a Sikh temple in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel is reporting. At least four people have been shot, including one police officer.

    Reached by the Journal Sentinel on the scene, a member of the temple committee Ven Boba Ri described the shooter as a white male in his 30s.

    "We have no idea," he said when asked of the shooter's motive. "It's pretty much a hate crime. It's not an insider."

    Ri said the man started his rampage by walking up to a priest who was standing outside and shooting him. Police are currently on the scene with reports emerging that the shooter has begun to take hostages.

    News of the shooting quickly spread to Twitter, where people are sharing their thoughts and updates under the hashtag #templeshooting.
