Britney Spears Is Taking Pre-Algebra Classes to Help Her Sons with Their Homework

It's never too late to learn new things.

Britney Spears is proving this -- and also that she's a dedicated mother to her two sons, Sean Preston, 9, and Jayden James, 8 -- by taking math classes in order to help understand her older son's homework.

"They go to a really hard school, and this week we had three hours of homework [a night]," the 33-year-old singer tells People magazine for their April 2015 issue. "Some of it is hard for me. Next year when [Preston's] in fifth grade, he's going to be doing pre-algebra, and I'm taking classes so I know how to do it!"

She also takes education very seriously.

"Homework is a priority," she says. "We have a reward system that helps motivate them: if they get so many As, they get one toy a month."

"My kids come first in my life, bottom line," she adds.

Spears' boyfriend, 32-year-old producer Charlie Ebersol, clearly understands this -- the pop princess says that Charlie relates to her sons "really well" and that "they have fun together."

But have Britney and Charlie, who she's been dating for six months, decided to take their relationship to the next level? The "Baby One More Time" singer was recently spotted with a ring on THAT finger while on vacation in Hawaii.

And judging from Britney's own first impression of Ebersol, she's certainly smitten.

"There was something about him that made me feel really peaceful and at ease," she tells People about her current love, adding, "And he was really hot, too. Adorably hot."
