Brown Bear Cub Breaks Out His Best Dancing Moves To Wow Seagulls

Here is a bear who would tear up the dance floor.

This brown bear cub was photographed throwing some serious moves in Alaska in a bid to catch the attention of a pair of indifferent seagulls.

The pictures show the cub get up on its hind legs and start to boogie.

The images were taken by British wildlife photographer Mark Sisson, from Newport, Shropshire, who captured the bear in action in Alaska in September.

Mark said the bear performed a “special shimmy” for the benefit of the seagulls.

It’s not the first dancing bear he’s photographed - two years ago Mark captured a European brown bear performing what looked like the dance move from Gangnam Style.

He said: “I am just back from spending some time photographing bears again, this time in Alaska, and the same bizarre behaviour has happened again.

“This time it involved a yearling cub - probably about 18 months or so old - waiting in the estuary while mum was fishing for salmon in the last few weeks before hibernation begins.

“The cub while standing alone in the shallow waters decided to stand up and dance in what appears like a special shimmy for a pair of gulls that were standing nearby and watched the whole thing.

“It lasted only a few seconds before he went back onto all fours and rather sheepishly returned to mum to sit and wait patiently.”
