    Bussani Mobility Announces 2011 Accessibility Open House

    Bussani Mobility has today announced their 2011 Accessibility Open House. Bussani Mobility has garnered a reputation for excellence and customer care in the New York area, and their open house is an excellent opportunity for individuals with physical disabilities to learn more about modern mobility equipment and wheelchair vans, directly from the manufacturers.

    Attendees to the 2011 Accessibility Open House will be able to see new wheelchairs, scooters and seating solutions, as well as new and pre-owned handicap accessible vans. Accessible home modifications and stair lifts will also be on display, as will fashionable adaptive apparel. There will also be a range of legal and financial advisors available to answer questions about wheelchair vans and other mobility solutions.

    The 2011 Bussani Mobility Accessibility Open House will be held Friday, September 16th from 11 AM until 6 PM and then again on Saturday, September 17th from 10 AM until 4 PM. More than 30 organizations and exhibitors will attend, answering questions and demonstrating their mobility equipment.

    Some of the organizations attending include the Long Island Center for Independent Living, United Spinal Association, St. Charles Rehabilitation Hospital, VetsFirst Veteran Advocacy, Canine Companions for Independence and more. Comedian Damon Rozier (the #1 sit-down comedian) will also be in attendance.

    There will also be a range of free accessibility workshops held over the 2-day event. These include Pressure Mapping and Customized Seating Solutions, Canine Companions & You, Adaptive Apparel and Fashionable Solutions, Planning Accessible Bathrooms & Successful Home Modifications, On the Road to Independence – Adaptive Driver Education and Training and much more.

    There’s more than education on hand, though. Bussani Mobility will be giving away raffle prizes and there will be free food and drinks as well. Free tune-ups on mobility equipment will be provided by Certified Mobility Specialists onsite. For those in the market for a wheelchair van, Bussani is also offering $1,000 off the purchase of a new wheelchair van, or $500 off a pre-owned van.
