Cabrini University abruptly cancels theater clean out

A cleanout hosted by Cabrini University's theater department has been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances."

Kaitlin Glenn, the university's theater director, said that the department was no longer giving away any items, though there was no explanation as to why the event had been cancelled.

Flyers circulating Facebook last week announced that the department was searching for new homes, free of charge, for props, set pieces and costumes.

The Radnor Pennsylvania school announced its closure after over six decades of education in June, and the final clean out was scheduled to take place on May 14, inviting local theaters to peruse its inventory.

Cabrini is shutting down due to financial and enrollment struggles, and Villanova University is set to take over the campus in 2026.
