Car bomb kills at least 10 in northern Syria
DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — Activists are reporting that a car bomb has killed at least 10 people and wounded dozens in a northern Syrian town near the Turkish border.
The Aleppo Media Center says at least 10 people were killed Wednesday and dozens wounded in the town of Jarablous, which has witnessed clashes between rival opposition fighters over the past days.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights put the death toll at 26.
The Observatory said the al-Qaida-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant members detonated the car bomb, adding that most of the dead were from a rival Islamic group.
Turkey's private Dogan news agency said nearly 20 wounded people, including women and children, were brought to the Turkish border town of Nizip for treatment.
