Car catches fire near multi-tenant building in Downtown Willoughby

Jan. 20—A car located near a multi-tenant building in Downtown Willoughby caught fire on Jan. 20.

According to Willoughby Fire Chief Todd Ungar, the incident primarily involved a vehicle that was adjacent to the building located at 38114 Third St.

Everyone that was inside escaped without any injuries, and there was only minor damage to the building, Ungar said.

The chief added he didn't have a damage estimate or cause of the fire. It is still under investigation.

The owner of the vehicle, a 55-year-old Wickliffe resident, was not in the car, according to the Willoughby Police Department.
