Car catches fire in parking lot of Champaign Taco Bell

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Fire Department responded to a car on fire at the South Neil Street Taco Bell on Thursday morning.

Firefighters said the passengers were all outside the car when they arrived near 11:21 a.m. Crews quickly hosed down the fire. It appeared to have started in the car’s engine compartment, Champaign Fire officials said.

No one was hurt in the incident. Firefighters said the car will be a total loss.
