Car a total loss after Sunday fire

May 29—The Jamestown Fire Department extinguished a car fire on Sunday, May 29, in northeast Jamestown.

Lt. Sheldon Mohr said the fire was reported at 9:54 a.m. behind 414 4th Ave. NE. The unoccupied car was totaled.

The fire was in the back area of the Chevy Impala, Mohr said. Four units and 15 firefighters were at the scene for about 15 minutes. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
