    CareSource Partners with Enroll America

    CareSource has partnered with Enroll America to help them fulfill their mission - ensure that all Americans are enrolled in, and retain, health care coverage.

    Dayton, Ohio (PRWEB) September 27, 2011

    A new organization, “Enroll America,” was launched last week in collaboration with key, national groups representing a variety of stakeholders in America’s health care system - hospitals, insurance and pharmaceutical industries, physicians, community health centers, free clinics, health care consumers and people with major illnesses and disabilities.

    CareSource has partnered with Enroll America to help them fulfill their mission - ensure that all Americans are enrolled in, and retain, health care coverage. Janet Grant, Executive Vice President for External Affairs at CareSource, is serving on the Advisory Council.

    In addition, the CareSource Foundation awarded Enroll America with a signature grant of $200,000 for the next two years. The Foundation invests in nonprofit organizations that focus on critical trends in children's health, community health issues, special needs populations and strategies to address the medically uninsured.

    “Enroll America’s goal is to promote a better understanding of ways to make the health care enrollment process simple, streamlined and seamless, said Janet Grant, Executive Vice President for External Affairs at CareSource. “We are honored to partner with them to find ways to help the underserved receive affordable health care.”

    “The need for an organization like Enroll America is great, especially since the number of uninsured Americans reached historically high levels in 2010,” said Ron Pollack, Executive Director of the consumer organization Families USA and Enroll America’s Board Chairman.

    The Census Bureau’s report released September 13 found that 49.9 million people were uninsured in 2010 – an all-time high.
