Carine Roitfeld set for MAC Cosmetics collection

Her strong brows and smoky eyes mean she is already a major beauty influencer, and now former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld is set to unveil a limited edition make-up collection with MAC Cosmetics.

With the collection due to be released this fall, Roitfeld is said to have advised the beauty giant on everything from product names to package design -- and will even be the star of the line’s campaign, shot by frequent Vogue and Harper's Bazaar photographer Mario Sorrenti.

According to WWD, the line focuses on the eyes and brows to mirror Roitfeld’s signature look.

Roitfeld is the latest in a long line of style icons to team up with MAC, ranging from punk rocker Beth Ditto to 90-year-old Iris Apfel. The company is also launching a beauty line inspired by 1950s film star Marilyn Monroe this October.

Since departing from French Vogue in January last year, Roitfeld has kept busy working on projects including a book with Karl Lagerfeld on Chanel’s iconic little black jacket, penning a tome on her career called Carine Roitfeld: Irreverent, styling gigs for the likes of department store Barneys New York and guest-editing publications including VMan. Plus, her new international fashion publication will be launched this September, with the name having been unveiled as CR Fashion Book earlier this month.
