Cassadee Pope Talks Topping iTunes Chart & Adam Levine Calling Her The Voice Frontrunner

Cassadee Pope hit the top of the iTunes chart last week with her cover on "The Voice" of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's "Over You," and she reflected on that milestone last night after her latest performance.

"I feel like last week was just so special all around," she told AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman. "It was the story behind the song, the way I connected with it, Blake's connection with it. It's just such a great moment all around and at such a perfect time."

The singer said she felt covering the number helped her have a real "moment" on the NBC singing competition.

"I really feel like I needed a moment like that to kind of get people to notice me, 'cause everyone's amazing," she said. "I feel like each and every one of us have had moments [where] we kind of stuck out, so I really wanted it and I think all of that combined into one thing got it to No. 1.

"I don't know if this week will, but hey, I'm hoping for it," she added.

Actually, as it stands, Cassadee's Monday night version of Michelle Branch's "Are You Happy Now," is currently at No. 3 on the iTunes chart, just behind 50 Cent's "My Life" and Phillip Phillips' "Home."

The feat further backs up "The Voice" Coach Adam Levine's statement on Monday that Cassadee is this season's frontrunner.

"It was crazy," Cassadee said of Adam's comment. "I was looking at him like, 'Really? I don't think so.' But it was cool. I respect him so much."
