CBS’s ‘Supergirl’ Casts ‘Last Five Years’ Star Jeremy Jordan
“The Last Five Years” star Jeremy Jordan has joined the cast of CBS’s comic book drama, “Supergirl,” TheWrap has learned.
Jordan is set to guest star on the pilot (with the potential to recur on the series) as Winslow “Winn” Schott, a tech genius and superstar IT whiz who works alongside Kara (“Glee’s” Melissa Benoist) at Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) company, CatCo.
Note: DC Comics fans will recognize the name of Jordan’s character as one of the aliases of the villain Toyman, which has appeared in the “Superman” comics.

Jordan is best known for his work on Broadway in shows like “Newsies” and “Bonnie and Clyde,” and was also a series regular on NBC’s “Smash.” He can be seen now on the big screen opposite Anna Kendrick in “The Last Five Years.”
The series, from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, will revolve around Kara Zor-El, who escaped Krypton amid its destruction years ago, and has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman, since arriving on Earth. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be.

Others cast in the series include Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, “Nashville” alum Laura Benanti as Supergirl’s birth mother and former Superman and Supergirl Dean Cain and Helen Slater, respectively, in mystery roles.
Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler are writing the one-hour drama, and also executive producing, along with Sarah Schecter and Andrew Kreisberg.
ICM and Schachter/Brown represent Jordan.
