Cee Lo Green: Vegas Headliner

Between his mentoring duties on NBC's The Voice and the writing of his forthcoming autobiography, Cee Lo Green is a busy man. But the hardest working funk-Teletubby in showbiz just can't stop, and is plotting his most ambitious project to date: headlining his own floor show in Las Vegas. Just as Elvis, Elton John, Celine Dion and Cher have done before him, the over-the-top singer is readying a residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Pop & Hiss notes, which he's titled, in deference to the ultimate Vegas showman, "Cee Lo Green Presents Loberace."

Green -- as his conductor and ringmaster alter-ego, Loberace -- says he'll take fans through colorful decades of music, “from Prince to Blue Magic to the Rolling Stones, new wave to disco and beyond.”

The show premieres Aug. 29 in the resort's 1,400-seat Theatre for The Performing Arts, and will run for a minimum of 28 dates through December, and very possibly beyond. Ticket prices have yet to be announced, but if his upcoming show at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods is any indication, we're looking at somewhere between $100 and $200 a seat. Think that's crazy? Well, f--k you.
